The eye-test room

Every eye test, filed with the customer it belongs to.

Optometrists enter readings straight into the customer record, or the counter uploads a doctor's prescription. Each record is tied to the visit, the frame and the lens order that came from it, so no one retypes SPH, CYL or axis values from a paper slip again.

How it works

Prescription File, step by step.

1

Open the customer

Search by name or mobile number. Returning customers show their last three tests and the glasses they bought.

2

Record the test

Enter distance and near values for each eye, PD, fitting height and notes, or attach a scanned doctor's prescription.

3

Compare with last time

Changes from the previous test are highlighted so the optometrist can explain them before the customer picks a frame.

4

Send it onward

The prescription flows into the lens order and the bill without anyone copying numbers by hand.

What you get

Everything in Prescription File.

Structured readings

SPH, CYL, axis, ADD, prism, VA and PD for each eye, with range checks that flag a likely typing mistake.

Outside prescriptions

Upload a photo or PDF from an ophthalmologist and mark who issued it and when.

Optometrist sign-off

Each record shows who carried out the test, so responsibility stays with the qualified person.

Full history

Every past test and every pair bought, in date order, on one screen.

Eye-test reminders

Set a recall date at the end of the test. The customer gets a reminder when it is due.

Family records

Link a parent and children under one mobile number while keeping each record separate.

Eye care and responsible AI

Clear lines on what the software does, and what it never does.

We do not test eyes

Eyenewsseven is store software. Eye tests are carried out and prescriptions are written by qualified optometrists and doctors.

Confidential by default

Prescription and customer data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never sold or shared for advertising.

Role-based access

Choose which staff can view, add or edit clinical readings. Every change is logged with a name and time.

Questions

About Prescription File

Does Eyenewsseven write prescriptions?
No. Optometrists and doctors carry out tests and write prescriptions. Eyenewsseven stores what they record and passes it to the lens order.
Can we import records from our old software?
Yes. Send us a spreadsheet export and we map customers, mobile numbers and past readings into the Prescription File during setup.
What happens if someone types an unusual value?
Readings outside common ranges, or a CYL without an axis, are flagged before saving. The optometrist confirms or corrects it.
